On July 10, 2025, Lin Youyuan, chief representative of the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association (CCFCA), led a delegation to visit Sichuan Film and Television Academy Film and Television Cultural and Creative City and held a cooperation negotiation meeting with the Sichuan Film and Television Academy.
Accompanied by the Sichuan Film and Television Academy, the delegation visited the studio cluster, the era block, the cinema, the school history museum and other teaching and cultural and creative facilities to fully understand the film and television teaching and training environment of the academy. Chief Representative Lin Youyuan highly praised the school’s development in the integration of digital film and television and cultural tourism.
At the meeting, Luo Si, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan Film and Television Academy, warmly welcomed the arrival of Chief Representative Lin Youyuan on behalf of the school, and looked forward to the Sichuan Film and Television Cultural and Creative City and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, jointly launching the “Cambodia (Phnom Penh)-China Sichuan (Sichuan Film and Television Cultural and Creative City) International Short Drama Shooting Base” during the Chengdu-Chongqing Film and Television Development Conference in October this year under the background of the 2025 “China-Cambodia Tourism Year”, promoting the high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road” cultural corridor, promoting two-way humanities education and cultural tourism exchanges between Sichuan Province and Cambodia, and helping the two sides to promote mutual promotion and mutual benefit in industry and mutual learning in culture.
Chief Representative Lin Youyuan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from Sichuan Film Studio and gave a detailed introduction to the development of the Kingdom of Cambodia in the fields of Angkor Wat IP, film and television tourism, education, economy and trade, dance and art. He said that he would actively implement the joint establishment of the “Cambodia-China International Micro Drama Shooting Base” and invited Principal Ross to lead a delegation to Cambodia for cultural and artistic exchanges and in-depth cooperation in various fields of the film and television tourism industry.
The two sides reached a cooperation intention on topics such as joint production of short dramas, cooperation in Chinese variety shows, and expansion of the cultural and creative market. They also plan to use the “Women’s Special Fund” as a fulcrum to promote the coordinated development of film, television, culture and tourism in Angkor Wat, Preah Vihear Temple, Xiling Snow Mountain, Anren Ancient Town and other places.
This visit deepened the mutual cooperation in film, television and culture between Cambodia and China, and demonstrated the bridge role of the Promotion Association in promoting bilateral people-to-people friendship and practical cooperation. The two sides will jointly implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries on building a community with a shared future for China and Cambodia in the new era, and work together to open up a new chapter of cooperation in multiple fields such as humanities, film, television, education, and digital economy.
