In response to the call of Prime Minister Prince Hun Manet, the Cambodia-China Association for the Promotion of Friendship and Cooperation has attracted many investors from China to invest and inspect Cambodia. At the same time, under the coordination of the association and the presence of His Excellency, PREAP KOL Minister attached to the Prime Minister, the Digital University of Cambodia (DUC) and X Capital Investment Co., Ltd. held a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony on the afternoon of May 16, opening a new chapter in the history of Cambodia’s digital human resources training field, that is, to promote the school’s teaching and student growth, and to promote the development of Cambodia’s digital economy human resources.

The signing ceremony was attended by many guests, including Mr. Tong Jitao, Chairman of X Capital Investment Co., Ltd.,              Ms. EAR Sophea, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. KEN LO, Vice President of Cambodia-China Friendship Collaboration Association (CCFCA)

Speaking at the ceremony, Principal Mr. Lim Van Nah said that today is a historic day for DUC, that is, DUC University and X Capital Investment Co., Ltd. jointly signed the MOU, and he took this opportunity to thank H.E PREAP KOL for his assistance in making the signing ceremony go smoothly, especially the cooperation with X Capital Investment Co., Ltd. to jointly promote and enhance the school’s teaching and student growth.

He believes that the signing of the MoU will help improve the learning and internship situation of students, cultivate more digital economy talent resources for Cambodia, and then vigorously promote the development of the country’s digital economy, which is in line with the first phase of the five-corner strategy implemented by the Royal Government of Cambodia and jointly achieve the goal of Cambodia becoming a high-income country by 2050.

Mr. Tong Yatao Chairman to X Capital investment Co., LTD In response to the call of Prime Minister Hun Manet, the company vigorously promotes the development of the country’s digital economy, and the primary task of developing the digital economy is to cultivate the country’s own talents in the field of digital economy.

He said that China has a complete digital economy and digital industry ecosystem, and the digital economy already accounts for a very high proportion of GDP. However, the digital economy is still a young development field for Cambodia, and this field needs more young people to participate in it. DUC University is the cradle of Cambodia’s digital economy talents. The students here are not only the hope of their parents and families, but also the hope of the development of Cambodia’s digital economy and the hope of the country.
He emphasized that through this MOU signing ceremony, DUC University will be able to offer more courses related to the digital economy, provide skills training that is more in line with the needs of enterprises, and provide outstanding students with opportunities to study in China. At the same time, it can also create some digital economy-related employment opportunities and contribute to the development of Cambodia’s digital economy and the cultivation of digital talents.

H.E PREAP KOL congratulated DUC University on the signing ceremony of the MOU with X Capital Investment Co., Ltd. He said that the content of the MOU signed today includes three major priorities, namely, first, to provide DUC University students with digital distance courses from China; 2. China Scholarship for Outstanding Students; 3. Provide practical project cooperation for DUC University, including internships and direct recruitment.

He pointed out that through the implementation of the project, it will assist DUC to cultivate the first batch of digital economy direct practitioners who fully grasp the capabilities of digital promotion, digital marketing and live broadcast e-commerce, and promote the global marketing of Cambodia, especially Angkor tourism products in Europe, the United States, China, Japan and other countries.

H.E PREAP KOL encouraged the students to study hard, especially to get the opportunity to study in China, so as to actively participate in the development of Cambodia’s digital sector and become the pillars of the country’s future development.
