[News Release] Accompanied by leaders and officials of The Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association, a delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts recently visited Sichuan International Exhibition Group, where they were warmly received by Wu Huaping, Deputy General Manager of the Group. Both sides held in-depth discussions on leveraging exhibition platforms to promote economic, cultural, and commercial cooperation between Sichuan and Cambodia.

The delegation was led by Mr. Lim Yousour, Deputy Director General Directorate General of Technique for Cultural Affair Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. He was accompanied by Mr. Pok Borak, Director of Cinema and Cultural Diffusion Department, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts; Mr. Huoy Socheat, Deputy Director of Cinema and Cultural Diffusion Department, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts; Mr. Lin Youyuan, Chief Representative of the Cambodia-China Friendship Collaboration Association in China; Luo Junwei, Vice President of the Association; and Ms. Ear Sophea, CEO of X Capital Investment Co., Ltd., also joined the visit.

Wu Huaping welcomed Deputy Director General Lim Yousour and his delegation, expressing appreciation for the General Department of Cultural Affairs and Technology’s attention and support for the development of Sichuan’s exhibition industry.
He noted that in recent years, cultural exchanges between China and Cambodia have continued to deepen, and cooperation between Sichuan and Cambodia in areas such as trade, agriculture, and cultural tourism has become increasingly close. He expressed hope that, by aligning with the Group’s “Three Exhibitions, One Body and Two Wings” and overseas development strategies, the two sides could further strengthen cooperation in major exhibitions such as the Western China International Fair and the Agricultural Expo, while exploring potential collaboration in “culture and tourism + exhibitions.”

Lim Yousour stated that an increasing number of Cambodian products have been entering the western Chinese market through exhibition channels. The General Department of Cultural Affairs and Technology attaches great importance to cooperation with Sichuan Province in the fields of culture, arts, tourism, and trade. He expressed hope that, together with the Exhibition Group, the two sides could deepen exchanges particularly in cultural tourism exhibitions, digital exhibitions, trade promotion, and investment cooperation, jointly advancing practical collaboration to a new level.

Representatives from the Group’s Planning, Development and Operations Department, International Cooperation Department, Operations Management Center, Conference Company (International Cooperation Center), and Investment Company also attended the meeting.
