[News Report] Under the coordination and facilitation of the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association (CCFCA), a delegation led by Ms. Yue Huiyu, Deputy County Mayor of the Dayi County People’s Government, visited Sihanoukville on 3 June to strengthen bilateral exchanges and explore new opportunities for practical cooperation between Dayi County and Sihanoukville.

Mr. Sar Kakada, Mayor of Sihanoukville, warmly welcomed the delegation and highly appreciated the efforts of the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two localities. During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on further leveraging the Cambodia National Shop platform established in Dayi County, deepening economic and trade cooperation, enhancing cultural and tourism exchanges, and identifying new areas for future collaboration.

The visit was organized and supported by the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen sub-national cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and China. Mr. Lin Youyuan, Chief Representative for the China Region of the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association, and Mr. Chea Khorn, Vice President of the Association, participated in the discussions alongside Mrs. Ear Sophea, Chief Executive Officer of X Capital Investment Co., Ltd., and representatives from both Cambodia and China.

During the meeting, Mayor Sar Kakada noted that Sihanoukville City and Dayi County officially established a friendly cooperative relationship in May this year and jointly witnessed the inauguration of the Cambodia National Shop in Dayi County. He emphasized that the swift return visit by the Dayi County delegation reflects the strong commitment of both sides to advancing practical cooperation and fostering closer ties.

Mayor Sar Kakada expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen exchanges, promote mutual learning and experience sharing, and create new opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, culture, and youth exchanges. He also highlighted that such initiatives contribute significantly to deepening the enduring friendship between Cambodia and China.

In particular, Mayor Sar Kakada extended his sincere appreciation to the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association for its leadership and continuous support in facilitating the establishment of the friendly cooperative relationship between Sihanoukville and Dayi County. He noted that the Association has played an important bridging role in promoting communication, mutual understanding, and sustained cooperation between the two local governments.

Ms. Yue Huiyu expressed her gratitude to Mayor Sar Kakada and the Sihanoukville Municipal Government for their warm hospitality. She recalled that during Mayor Sar Kakada‘s visit to Dayi County in May, both sides signed a Letter of Intent to establish a sister-city relationship and jointly inaugurated the Cambodia National Shop. These achievements, supported by the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association, have laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation between the two localities.

Ms. Yue Huiyu stated that the purpose of this return visit is to further strengthen friendship, deepen mutual trust, and promote practical cooperation that delivers tangible benefits to both sides. She noted that Dayi County and Sihanoukville possess strong industrial complementarities and broad prospects for collaboration.

She expressed her hope that both localities would continue to utilize the sister-city partnership and the Cambodia National Shop as important platforms for expanding economic and trade cooperation, strengthening cultural and tourism exchanges, and enhancing youth and people-to-people interactions. Through joint efforts, both sides can transform their shared vision of cooperation into concrete achievements that contribute to local development and prosperity.

According to reports, the Cambodia National Shop, jointly developed by X Capital Investment Co., Ltd. and the Dayi County People’s Government, was recently inaugurated in Dayi County. The project was actively supported by the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association and has become an important platform for promoting bilateral cooperation and facilitating this successful return visit.

As a showcase for Cambodian products and cultural heritage, particularly those from Preah Sihanouk Province, the Cambodia National Shop serves as a bridge connecting enterprises, institutions, and communities from both countries. It provides an effective platform for business matching, trade promotion, tourism cooperation, and cultural exchange.

Moving forward, the Cambodia China Friendship Collaboration Association will continue to support and promote practical cooperation between Dayi County and Sihanoukville, further strengthening economic, cultural, tourism, and people-to-people ties while contributing to the continued development of Cambodia-China friendship and collaboration.
